The DMA provides member companies with a wealth of information and advice to help them operate in the most effective and sustainable manner.
The DMA's legal department provides free legal advice and legal resources to DMA members. Best Practice resources are available across each direct marketing sector, and along with industry accreditation schemes, aim to raise industry standards.
The DMA Research Centre holds research conducted by the DMA, its members and research partners. And DMA TV is updated monthly with news from across the industry. Environmental issues are crucial in our industry and the DMA leads by example and provides guidance to members to ensure that the industry minimises its impact. Postal Affairs updates focus on the development, operational, regulatory and strategic issues of postal services as they affect the direct marketing industry. The DMA's Preference Services enable businesses to register their wish to opt out of receiving unsolicited telephone calls, and consumers to register their wish to opt out of receiving unsolicited messages by mail, telephone, fax or email. The Direct Marketing Commission oversees the DMA's Code of Practice, providing protection to recipients and practitioners of direct marketing in those areas not covered by other regulatory bodies, such as the ASA. |
